What's new with us? Let's see... we just came out with a 5 song EP. We're happy with how it turned out. We'll have it available at shows for $5. If you want a copy, send us an email and we'll figure out how to get it to you.  CD sales help us pay for more recording and heroin.

One of our recordings, "Ghosts of 995" is in a mountainbike video, "Quick and Dirty", by "Digger Productions". You can find it in some stores in some places.

We had an awesome time playing at the Pic Pub again. There was a great turn out and there always seems to be a great vibe in that place. Thanks to all those who bought our CD. We really appreciate the support. The line up of bands was great too. All different styles but still catering to the same crowd. Can't wait for the next show. We'll keep you posted. Hey, if anyone has any photos or video footage, please send it to us. If you've done enough editing to make us actually look good, we'll use the material and give you some kind of swag in return.

The energy was hopping at the Pic. The night started with a last minute addition to the line-up. Five young fellas from Sweden called "Early to Bed" got up and rocked out like it was their last day on earth. They're playing a few shows in Vancouver over the next couple weeks before they head back to Sweden. We might be putting a couple of them up at our place while they are here. If anyone else has some floor space for some friendly Swedes, send me an email.

Falling Days hit the stage next with some melodic heavy songs with some catchy hooks. I'm sure I'll be hearing them on the radio down the road.

Our set was a blast with the help of a very friendly audience. The crowd's energy really fuelled us. Don didn't miss me this time with the flying drum stick. That guy hits hard and the flying projectile almost imbeded itself in my lower back. We might have to talk about changing positions on the front of the stage. It was our third show as this incarnation of Shoofly, and we all felt like we really started to gel as a band.

My first time seeing Honeybox turned out to be their last show. They were a kickass party band and had the dance floor hopping all night with their mix of rock, reggae, funk and hip hop. The guest reggae rappers were bitchin'.

Like Jesse, I too was attacked by a flying drum stick. I think that Don, our "lead" drummer, has some aggression toward us. Since he is attacking me with drum sticks, should I retaliate with guitar picks? It hardly seems equal...unless...I could try to aim very carefully at his eyes.

Well, the PIC show was a blast. Before the show I spent the day practicing/writing guitar solos for two songs. I only managed to play one of them properly. The other one...uh...well...let's just say that I chose to play an alternative version of the original solo, which included "creatively placed" notes.
